Founded by Ashley Blackburn, an Animal Behaviorist holding a Master of Science in Animal Behavior from The University of Texas at Austin and credentials as a Master Dog Trainer, Axon K9 was built to bridge the gap between high-level behavioral science and practical, real-world execution.
Ashley specializes in structurally safe, evidence-based behavior modification for all breeds, ranging from foundational puppy development to severe aggression and reactivity rehabilitation. Rather than relying on surface-level quick fixes or generic routines, Ashley analyzes the behavioral and emotional drivers behind a dog's actions.
Plenty of trainers can teach a dog to sit. Far fewer can explain why a dog is guarding a doorway, why a rescue shuts down on walks, or why a well-trained dog bites anyway. By understanding why a dog behaves the way they do, she constructs custom, step-by-step protocols that build lasting clarity, impulse control, and mutual trust between dogs and their handlers.
